Catcher Ivan Rodriguez had 3 base hits at the ballpark where the London Hawk
Lords beat the Dublin Pubcrawlers 9 to 2.
London went ahead for good in the bottom of the 2nd inning when they scored 2
runs on 2 hits. The critical plate appearance was by Adam Laroche who
brought a roar from the partisan the ballpark fans when he cracked a two-run
shot (his 5th of the season). London had 10 hits for the afternoon while
Dublin had 5.
Adam Eaton(4-2) was the winner allowing 1 run in 6 and 2/3 innings. Justin
Duchscherer was credited with his 2nd save. Bartolo Colon(3-5) was charged
with the loss.
'After the stretch we have been through lately, this victory is especially
sweet' offered Rob Danecker. Now, we just have to make this the norm - not
the exception!'
